Paper Airplanes


Paper Airplanes Lab

To start:

1. Gather your spiral and pencil.
2. Write the title on the top line.
3. Write your name and date in top right corner.


Directions:

1.   Carefully place the items in the bag on your desk.

2.   Make sure you have your spiral and a pencil.

3.   Look through the Surefire Paper Planes book.

This site has planes that you can print out a template of a plane with directions:



5.   Get some scrap paper or ask for some printer paper. Make 2 planes (or more) of different designs, from the book or websites. Don’t tear out any pages in the book.

6.   Fly both planes!

7.   Write in your science journal:

·           Draw both planes.
·           Write about which flew better?
·           Why did it fly better?
·           Could you change something to make the other one better?
